HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet and wonderful husband! We love you!

today you came into this world, quietly...not because you would be a quiet child but because you couldn't breath, the cord was tight around your neck and you were drowning in amniotic fluid, they whisked you and daddy away without me holding or kissing you. NICU took great care of you until you were released into my arms. Daddy stayed with you the entire time, and called me on the phone and told me you were beautiful, what you looked like and that you were his precious doodlebug. You made an entrance into this world and lucky for you, you had been the only girl born not only that day but within the last few days so everyone on staff cooed over you, and treated you like royalty. I will never forget the first time I layed eyes on you and you looked back at me with your beautiful blue eyes, nor will daddy ever forget you looking at him. You still make our eyes water when you look at us.
We laughed because you wanted to come on Christmas but held out for the 26th because you wanted to make sure you had your own special day, you do and you always will. You are our special little princess and every day I see you growing more and our prayer is that you grow more with the Lord and that you will always stay under the Lord protective covering.
Happy Birthday beautiful girl! We love you.

Do you mind if I
leave my child here while I go run errands?
I was asked this by a mom yesterday at Claires birthday party (it isn't her birthday really)at a local gym. My jaw dropped, and when I said "no I would like you to stay". She seemed irritated. Granted I don't know this woman very well, our daughters are in the same preschool, but still I have no shame in telling her no when I don't know her daughter very well. My mother in law was there and she was shocked as well. Turns out this is "common" practice in young kids birthday parties. I could see asking this if it had been in my house, but not at a gym, filled with breaking hazards everywhere you turn.
On a lighter note she had a great party, and we got to surprise her with her grandma and her Aunt being here for the festivities, which was a great treat. There were about 15 kids if you count my two, and by the end each kid had a GOOD slice of cake, ice cream, and a handful of candy. This was our first "formal" party and it went off without a hitch, which made it even better.
Have any of you had moms that wanted to leave their kids? Do you let them?

Happy Birthday, It's A Miracle!, RAIN that wont go away
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE M!!!!!

My daughter ate a Peanut Butter sandwich today!!!! HURRAY! Up until now she was probably the only 3 year old who would not eat a PB sandwich; she would eat peanut butter on Ritz crackers but has always refused to eat it on bread. It's a July miracle!

It is raining an obscene amount around here. It rained so hard and so much in such a small amount of time, that this is what the back corner of our yard look like.......
This is the very back right corner of the yard
And this would be looking out my bathroom window onto the side of the house where our dog run is......yes that is about 2 feet of water that you see. The dogs were let out of their dog run so they could destroy the rest of the yard but at least they wouldn't drown.
Thanks Pulte for the fine craftmanship in draining that you have provided! :)

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY LACI!
Our sweet friend turns one today! For a baby who weighed 3 lbs at birth, whose doctors told her parents that she probably wouldn't make it, she is thriving and blowing medical teams expectations out of the water! We love you!

Update
Well I had another appointment yesterday morning, all is well in baby land....cervix is thinned but nothing else is happening so to quote my doctor "It could happen tomorrow or in two weeks". I go back for a sono on Wednesday, so we will see then. She still has a very good strong heart beat, and up until now she has been measuring "big" but it seems her growth has slowed some and she is now measuring average (5.5 lbs). She has started to turn transverse-breech, so we are really praying that she will turn herself back around before her big arrival. If she hasn't turned by Wednesday and nothing has happened the doctor will try to turn her, which I have heard is not a very pleasant experience.
Thanks for your prayers!
One of my neighbors is expecting their second little girl has been dialated one cent. for three weeks now, and we have another friend who is having a girl and she has been dialated one cent for about a week and a half now.......girls must like to be unpredictable (even though ALL BABIES are really unpredictable).
