The Meeting
J and I are so excited to tell you guys about our meeting last night. There were several people who were there aside from us, some wanting adoption info, some wanted foster info, and some just wanted to come check out what it was all about. We met a sweet lady who is a single mom to three older children and she was adopted as a child and has always wanted to give back, well the Lord recently gave her the means to be able to provide for more children so she decided on fostering. There was a lovely couple next to us who are unable to have children and thy thought foster/adopt was the next best thing they could do; and they seemed so willing and excited about the program.
We watched a short video "selling" foster parenting, then we went over the three different programs; 1)foster, 2) adoption, 3) foster/adopt (which is the one we are choosing). There was a Q & A session and it was over. During the Q & A session hubby started filling out the form because he was ready to turn it in right then. We couldn't thought because we need our BC, and our MC, so we are going to gather all of that together and turn it in next week. We have to attend training classes and we have decided to attend two Saturdays in November instead of two days a week for two months. Please begin praying for childcare for Claire. After the training it takes 4-6 months of misc work including a homestudy to get certified to welcome children into your home.
Also currently we have two spare bedrooms and after much prayer we have decided to use both of them if they are needed for children, one room is known as the "play room", while the other currently has a queen size bed for guests. After thought and prayer we decided even though sibilings of the same sex can share a bed we would rather they not have to do that. So we found very reasonable bunk beds last week and my SIL told me where to find reasonably priced mattressess. We know that if this is the Lords will he will provide for us, so please keep this in your prayers as well.
We are so excited! We will keep you updated as we chug along this process.

Isabella is looking forward to playing with new friends over at your house! You two are EXTREMELY gracious people and I think you will be the best Foster Parents.
