Blurred Vision

We have never had vision insurance I heard the collective gasps across the lands. While hubby was at his last job vision insurance hardly covered anything and it was insanley overpriced so we just nixed it. Fortunetly after we moved here we made friends with some opthamologists and they would swing us "the friend discount" on our exams as well as lenses and contacts so we never had to break our bank.

With hubbies new job we decided to sign up for the insurance because it was pennies a pay check and it covered a good variety of needs (including me getting my eyes re-zapped in a few years).

Hubs just emailed me and informed me that our new insurance is taken by our friends and that our friends even claim that we have great insurance. We are praising the Lord! Hubs is in serious need of new frames so we already scheduled everyones exam and for $40.00 for everyone to get frames and exams...I think we can swing it again!

Update

For those of you coming here today because I told you I would be doing a giveaway....please come back tomorrow it will be up and going, for those that this is the first you have heard about it PLEASE come back tomorrow too!

Friday morning Claire woke up telling us her side was hurting so we took her to the doctor, she has a bruised rib and will need to be monitored. Everything else looked okay. Baby looked great, Priase the Lord. I am still sore and feel a bit beat up as the guy hit my door.

We are blessed to have fantastic insurance who have been SO fantastic to us.

We are blessed we are all alive.

We are blessed to have a great support network that we know are lifting us up in prayers each day.

We are blessed it wasn't worse.

We are blessed.

My daughter ROCKS!

Everything went fantastic yesterday! Thank you for your prayers.

It wasn't tubes, though we did that about two years ago, that was heartbreaking as well.

She has deep craters in her back teeth, so they needed to fill them in. By filling them in it should prevent plaque from lurking around her teeth, therefore hopefully preventing cavities from rearing their ugly heads.

Hubs had an important meeting so my dear sweet gracious friend accompanied me, to help with baby and to console me.

She was very upset the instant we parked in the parking lot, but my friend was able to calm her down better than I simply because she wasn't me.

Shortly after her relaxing cocktail (that's what they called it), they called her name and she walked back there all alone without any tears, I on the other hand was a complete basket case.

I heard muffled screams thru the walls and a cry for mommy that broke my heart, but my friend wouldn't let me listen to it and kept my mind from it. About 90 minutes later, a smiling bright eyed little girl came strolling out! I couldn't believe it. They said she had cried only a little bit, and that she did excellent.

They didn't even have to numb her, because she let them work on her without it, something her mother can not do.

Since they didn't have to numb her they said she could eat whatever/whenever she wanted. She requested the orange place better known as Whataburger. Three chicken nuggets, a package of french fries, two cups of pop (since she doesn't typically get it I think this was her favorite part), and a cookie later, she was thrilled.

She slept for a little while after we got home, but she was a trooper and I am so proud of her!

While We Were Sleeping.....

Halfway around the world our friends received their twin daughters this morning!

I remember the day that they told us they had already filled out the application and it had been accepted, at that time the wait in China was just growing to about a year, it's been about 2 1/2 years now, but the wait was worth it! Today they hold their beautiful daughters!

Please pray for these little girls as they will surely be mourning their nannies, pray for them as they adjust to having a mommy and daddy and please pray for mommy and daddy as they endure the next few hours or hard adjustment, as well as the next few weeks of adjustment. Please also pray for the mother that made the ultimate choice to give her girls away, she too is mourning and pray that the Lord grants her peace and an understanding that only he can give her.

Praise! ***Updated***

This morning we are grateful in the Happy House because after months of testing, and probing, committee meetings, my dad has been approved for a heart transplant!! He will go in for a bit more blood work and an "orientation" meeting in the next month to learn how long his wait will be, but we are really happy, nervous, and excited!!!

Baby News!

One of hubbies co-workers was a surrogate and happily and safely delivered twins, one boy and one girl today. All are doing well.

Hubbies cousin had their second precious little girl, again all are doing well!

Thank you Lord for Your sweet protection and Grace!

That is the praise that J and I have been saying last night and this morning. We are so grateful that each and every day we pray a hedge of protection around our daughter and that we know she is covered in His love, mercy, and under His wings!

Yesterday Claire was spared what could have been a very severe injury (I am still too tramatized to even TYPE the words), and to her nothing happened at all....which is good and I know that is all part of His Grace. Isn't it interesting how you buy them the best car seats, make sure your cabinets are locked and safe, make sure your outlets are covered and yet sometimes things still happen?!!?!

We are very thankful that the stress and trama didn't cause me to go into labor either. Seriously I have seven weeks to go, but my legs and arms were like jello after the whole incident was over, my heart raced I think until just a bit ago, and my nerves were SHOT.

We are also very thankful for one of our neighbors who came to help check on Claire and to comfort a very tramatized mommy!

God's love never ceases to amaze us here, and we are so thankful for His love!

A Wonderful Blessing!

We are blessed with MANY wonderful neighbors whom we have grown to call friends..one of which we have never blogged about but today there is a FABULOUS reason to blog about them!

They have a beautiful little girl who was born last July several months early and with several different disabilities, which I wont mention because that isn't the reason for the post!!!

For the first time since she has been born she has hearing now!!! Technology is a wonderful thing! B. and M. said as soon as they turned on the hearing aides M. spoke to her and she immediately looked at him! She is trying now to figure out all that she hears but we are just so happy for her and the family!

Thank you Jesus for the wonderful doctors you have placed in this families life!
