We're Here!

We are here still! Just been a bit crazy.

Tuesday was of course the San Antonio Spurs game so J watched the game at a friends house. We are sad to say that the Spurs lost...but there is still hope!

Our neighbor J and her girls came over for the evening, and boy did we have fun! L's birthday was Wednesday and so she brought down the birthday cupcakes and we (mostly her I did the cupcakes) decorated a "barbie cake". For those that don't know what a barbie cake is...see the picture. We had sprinkles on nearly every inch of my counter and floor. We had baby S. on the floor with a bowl of cheerios that she manage to smash into the floor and then she was trying to eat the sprinkles that were raining down on her so her legs and hands were turning colors. L and Claire kept running thru the kitchen so we found sprinkles all over my carpet! It was too much fun for words!!! It was also very CHAOTIC!! The older girls were jumping on the couches, sitting on the coffee table and doing anything they could because they knew she and I were to busy trying to figure out how in the world to make a Barbie cake. At 9:45 they went home after she and I spent a long time vacumming and cleaning up sprinkles!!

Wednesday was Miss L's birthday, and our daughter was so excited for her little friend to be three! She kept telling me "L is three now she gets to do all of the fun stuff mommy!" Too cute. It had been planned for a while that her birthday party would be at our house, since her daddy is in CNRA School and had a major exam on Thursday...but boy did it work out well that this is what had been planned. They spent Wednesday in the hospital with their husband/daddy where he learned that he ahd the biggest ulcur that the GI doctor had seen, they were ready to operate but when the doctor learned it was his daughters birthday he found an "alternative" treatment that we pray will work. At our house we were busy decorating and getting everything ready, which was REALLY hard for Miss Claire because she was getting frustrated that nothing was for her. It has been hard too since everything is centered around the baby (at least she thinks so) for it to be about her friend was hard too. We worked on it though. Everything went beautifully and all the princesses had fun! Their daddy is doing better today, but still needs prayers for recovery and he is still in a GREAT deal of pain. They only have a few weeks left of school so we hope he can get better quickly!

Thursday was spent cleaning up the house, and resting!!!! Last night there was not a cloud in the sky and yet the whole neighborhood lost it's electricity at 6:30 and it stayed off for a while! It was BIZZARRE.

Friday today will be spent resting at home and trying to get ready for the weekend. Tomorrow the girls from our Sunday School class are coming over for a Girls Night In, and we are really looking forward to a girls evening.

CONGRATS TO OUR FRIEND SCOTT WHO IS GRADUATING TOMORROW!! We are so excited/proud of you!!!
